We change your wheels by appointment
Summer to winter or back, on any car. We balance on Hunter machines, one of them with Road Force, and mount on fully automatic Hunter TCR machines.
How it works
How a tire change works at our shop
Step 1
Book an appointment
Enter your license plate online and choose a free time. We reserve the appointment right away and confirm it by email after checking. If your wheels are stored with us, we get them out of storage beforehand.
Step 2
Change
We tighten the wheel bolts to the torque the manufacturer specifies for your car. We also relearn the sensors of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) right away.
Step 3
Check
We also measure the tread of each tire with a laser, free of charge. We check the shock absorbers too, because worn shocks make your braking distance longer.
Step 4
Retighten
After about 50 to 100 kilometers (30 to 60 miles), the wheel bolts need to be retightened. It takes five minutes and is free of charge.

A tire change is only as good as the machines it is done on. That is why we work with equipment from Hunter, which is among the best on the market.

Road Force
Why a balanced wheel can still vibrate
A normal balancing machine spins the wheel freely in the air and evens out unevenly distributed mass with weights. It cannot see whether tire and rim run true when the weight of the car rests on them. Then the steering wheel shakes even with freshly balanced wheels.
With the Road Force method, a roller presses on the tire with high force during the measurement and measures how evenly it rolls under load. If there is a hard spot, we turn the tire on the rim so that the deviations of tire and rim cancel each other out as much as possible. Only then do we balance.
New tires
First the quote, then the mounting
If you need new tires, request a tire quote first. We work out the price and get back to you with a suggested date. For mounting, a colleague fits the tire onto the rim, then every wheel goes on the balancing machine.
After eight years we recommend new tires, even with enough tread. More on this under Tires & Wheels.

Your wheels are stored washed and measured on our premises, from 60 euros per season, washing included. They are ready for the next change.

Do I need an appointment for a tire change?
Yes, we only change tires by appointment. Book it online or give us a call.
Do I need to come back after the change?
Yes. After about 50 to 100 kilometers (30 to 60 miles), the wheel bolts need to be retightened with a torque wrench. It takes five minutes and is free of charge.
When should I switch to winter tires?
The German rule of thumb is “O to O”: winter tires from October (Oktober) to Easter (Ostern). In ice, snow or slush, the law requires winter or all-season tires.
Do you also change the tires on my Tesla?
Yes. We change tires on every car, including electric cars like Tesla, SUVs and sports cars. We mount UHP and off-road tires on fully automatic Hunter TCR machines.
What is Road Force?
A balancing method by Hunter. While measuring, a roller presses on the tire like the road does and finds uneven spots that a normal balancing machine cannot detect. One of our four Hunter balancing machines uses it.
Is the TPMS relearned after the change?
Yes. We relearn the sensors of the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) during the wheel change.
