From Luitpoldstraße to Tennenloher Str.
A small tire repair shop has grown into a car service with 20 people. It is still run by the same family today.

1929
Eugen Krautwurst opens a tire repair shop on Luitpoldstraße.
1937
Eugen Krautwurst earns his master craftsman certificate in tire repair.
1959
For the 30th anniversary, a new shop with a gas station opens on Paul-Gossen-Straße.
1966
New building at today’s location on Tennenloher Straße.
1970
His daughter Waltraud Richter takes over the management.
1983
The showroom and offices are expanded.
1986
A new floor is added on top of the workshop for more storage space.
1988
We join a group of independent tire dealers. Two years later, it becomes the point S brand.
2000
Holger Richter takes over as managing director. The showroom and cafeteria are modernized.
2009
80 years of Krautwurst: a customer party with more than 250 guests.
2019
90 years of Reifen Krautwurst
2024
With Tobias Richter, the fourth generation joins the management.
Today
20 people, in the fourth generation. We do wheel alignment and ADAS calibration in-house, and you can book tire appointments online.
